SeatGeek – Tickets to Events is an app designed to help users buy and resell tickets for a variety of live events, including major sporting events (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS), concerts, festivals, and Broadway/theater shows. It enables users to browse available tickets, visualize seating arrangements before purchase, and manage their purchased tickets directly from their mobile device. The app also facilitates the resale of tickets through its marketplace, offering tools to assist with pricing. All ticket purchases made through SeatGeek are backed by a 100% buyer guarantee.
Interactive Seating Charts and Deal Score
When searching for tickets, the app provides interactive seating charts that include panoramic photographs from various sections of a venue. This feature allows users to see the potential view from their chosen seats before making a purchase. To help users assess ticket value, each deal listed on SeatGeek is assigned a Deal Score, which is color-coded to indicate its relative value from best to worst. Resellers using the platform have the flexibility to list their tickets at prices either above or below face value.
Mobile Ticket Management
Once tickets are purchased, the app allows users to display their e-ticket directly within SeatGeek to gain entry to venues, eliminating the need for a physical printout. Additionally, users can send extra tickets to friends’ phones with a single tap. This functionality is available at no cost, or for a fee in the US, depending on the specific transaction.
Selling Tickets on the Marketplace
Users who find themselves unable to attend an event can sell their tickets directly through SeatGeek’s Marketplace. The app simplifies this process, allowing tickets to be listed for sale in one tap. To further assist sellers, SeatGeek can provide a recommended price to help facilitate a quick sale of the tickets.
Event Discovery and Payment Options
The app supports browsing for live events by various criteria, such as team, artist, venue, genre, or specific sports like baseball, basketball, hockey, football, or Nascar. This helps users discover upcoming events near their location. For purchasing tickets, the app offers convenient payment options, including Google Pay and standard credit card payments.
The Daily Tap
Users have the opportunity to participate in The Daily Tap feature, which allows for one entry per day to win free tickets to nearby live events.
Recent efforts have focused on improving the speed and reliability of the app to enhance the overall user experience for live events.
